Black Excellence Gala Volunteer Request
We are planning something so great. So Black & Proud… you are not going to want to miss out on the event of the year.
The first of its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania, our inaugural gala will take place April 23rd 2022, at the Historic Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in downtown Scranton. Along with the opulence and glamour of the event, guests will have the opportunity to engage with local Black art, businesses, culture, and history. This includes rare experiences to delve deeper into the heart and soul of our organization, , and gain a better understanding of the heritage here in our city.
The Black Excellence Gala will feature an exciting lineup of entertainment from local artists and musicians who lend their hearts and talent to support our organization and our plans for BSPCAC. The evening will begin at 6 pm with a cocktail hour, local art, live music & performances, in addition to a special guest keynote speaker and awards during dinner. Our goal for this inaugural fundraising event is to generate support that lasts far beyond this evening of Excellence.
This fundraising gala delivers more than an exquisite evening of rich culture and experience. Your support means the world to us as we launch the Black Scranton Center for Arts & Culture (BSPCAC) - for us, by us - and we’d like to thank you for being among the first to have the opportunity to become a BSP member. With your help, we will be able to continue to illuminate local Black History and build community. It’s community-minded individuals like you, the ambassadors and allies who spread the word of our cause.
