Louis Fouché

You’ve seen Louis Fouché nightly on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, now catch him live at the Juneteenth Jubilee Block Party!

Louis Fouché grew up in Mountain Top, PA, and spent his summers with family in New Orleans studying music. Since he embarked on his music career 15 years ago, Fouché has performed in over 30 countries on 6 continents and has established himself as one of the most exciting and versatile saxophonists in the world.

He currently performs with the Jon Batiste & Stay Human house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and with 10-time Grammy winning Latin legend Eddie Palmieri. Fouché has shared the stage with a variety of artists including Jill Scott, Carole King, Cyndi Lauper, Mighty Sparrow, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Joe Walsh, Neil Schon, Paul Shaffer, Chief Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott), Trombone Shorty, and many more.

In addition to performing, Fouché is a skilled producer, composer, and arranger. His self-produced debut EP Subjective Mind was a #1 new release and received radio play worldwide.

Before pursuing music full-time, Fouché earned degrees in physics and chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2011, he co-founded the MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC), an online science and engineering enrichment program for high-achieving high school seniors from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds.

The Black Scranton Project's Juneteenth Jubilee Block Party marks the first time that Louis Fouché returns to perform professionally in Northeast PA since he was a high school student!
